New Toyota Fortuner 2009

The Toyota Fortuner is a luxury sports-utility vehicle (SUV) offering great value at slightly over one million baht. It comes with seven seats, top-notch quality, high performance engine and a fine balance between on- and off-roading capability. This popular SUV is based on wildly popular Hilux Vigo and on luxury Lexus. It comes either with a 2.7-liter petrol (118 bhp @5200 rpm, 241 Nm @ 3800 rpm) or a 3-liter D4D turbo-diesel engine (120 bhp @ 3400 rpm, 343 @ 1400 rpm). Four- or five-speed automatic gearboxes are available.
Soni Motors' top four sellers are Toyota Hilux Vigo, Toyota Fortuner, Mitsubishi Triton and Nissan Navara but not necessarily in this order. Vigo is still the leader but Triton, Fortuner and Navara are vying for the second position. Some months Fortuner comes second, then a big order of Fortuner comes and Triton is catching up and then Navara fans place a huge order for Nissan Navara and Navara comes second. Please note that Toyota Fortuner is spelled Fortuner and not Toyota Fortuna as some have been known to spell it.
